Cardiac Care & Vascular medicine is a cardiology center that was founded in 2002 by Dr. Nanna with the vision of offering a high standards of care to underprivileged community in the Bronx New York. The center not only cares about clinical needs of patients with heart disease but also is committed to advancing knowledge through research in cardiovascular disease and supports the training of students seeking to enhance their clinical skills from around the world.

Dr. Nanna thinks:
Our mission is to provide state of the art medical care with specific expertise in cardiovascular disease. We believe in a holistic approach to patient care that considers the human aspect of health care that emphasizes empathy and compassion. Our approach can be summarized in this statement:

About Dr. Nanna
He is a Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine in the Cardiology Division of Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He currently serves as the Medical Director at Cardiac Care & Vascular Medicine. Dr. Nanna is a published author of scientific peer review scientific articles and book chapters. He serves as Editorial consultant for many scientific journals. He is Associate Editor for the Journal of the American Society of Echocardiography ( Elsiever publisher) and Echocardiography ( Wiley publisher) and serves on the editorial board of Uñtrasound in Medicine and Biology ( Elsiever publisher) global leader in publishing, education, and research. He previously served as Director of the Coronary Care Unit and Director of the Cardiac Ultrasound laboratory at Montefiore Moses Division Medical Center. Dr. Nanna received his Doctor of Medicine at the University of Bari, in Bari, Italy and completed a fellowship in Cardiovascular Medicine at the University of Southern California. His research interests are extensive, with particular focus on cardiac ultrasonography, congestive heart failure, ischemic heart disease, and valvular heart disease. Most recently, he co-authored a study that explored whether 99m Tc-radiolabeled fibroblast activation protein inhibitor imaging can detect early myocardial fibrosis in hypertensive patients. Dr. Nanna’s practice actively participates in numerous advanced clinical trials and aspires to remain at the forefront of cardiovascular innovation.

About Nancy:
Nancy has been part of Cardiac Care since it was founded. As an entrepreneur, she has been visionary in supporting the growth and development of the business aspect during the period of radical changes in the health care business. She coordinates the business and supports all the administrative tasks to keep the center under excellent parameters of function.
